April 27 and 28th

Water temps where I was on Lake George yesterday ranged from 44-47 degrees. Weather wise it was 31 degrees when I started at 4:30 am an and close to 70 when I got off at 2 pm. All I can say is it was a great day to be on the lake fishing. I went 4 for 8 on lakers. The 4 I lost were at the boat and the hook pulled. The fish I’ve been catching have been in 5-15 ft range of water. I also noticed that down sizing to a sz 10 Ghost pattern tied with either a red wing or body was the ticket. The warmer weather and tail end of April is bringing more traffic to the lake. I’m guessing this type of fishing will be good for at least another week. After that there’s too much traffic to be out on this lake unless you get there early. Another consideration is as it warms the lakers will start going deeper.
